It is found in Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, the Republic of Congo, Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Central African Republic, Sudan, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Kenya, Tanzania, Cameroon and Zambia.〔(Afrotropical Butterflies: File H - Charaxinae - Tribe Charaxini )〕 The habitat consists of forests, including gallery and riverine forests.
